The Sr. Applications Engineer provides high-level engineering expertise, project management, and commercial support for the application of Starline high-amperage busduct products across customer projects. This role leads technical strategy, mentors junior engineers, and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. The engineer is responsible for drafting product offers, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in electrical systems and components within industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Analyze the failure of electrical systems, determine the cause of failures, evaluate the quality of construction, and review design and maintenance procedures. Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations and documentation of damaged property.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment, designing, modifying, and analyzing instrumentation and control systems in new and existing power plants. You will investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of electrical controls engineering issues, including digital systems design development (PLC, DCS, Touchscreens, network switches, and control systems).
As a Senior Field Engineer you will conduct on-site Field Evaluations of electrical equipment for compliance to regulatory product safety standards. You will also perform construction and engineering review of electrical equipment in a multitude of industries. Expect to travel 100% of the time both domestically and internationally, though the majority of travel will be within the lower 48.
You will play a crucial role in refining AI models by reviewing and correcting outputs on topics such as electrical circuits, signal processing, embedded systems, power systems, and electromagnetics, enabling AI systems to interpret and respond to complex engineering queries with technical precision.
